How did you spot weld the tantalum? I think you mentioned you modified or built a cap discharge spot welder?

I have a source for lots of tungsten wire, but I suspect that spot welding might be a challenge, but what about careful twisting or tying, at least at the intersections between meridians and parallels....

any other ideas for fabrication (now that you've built a bunch)?
