I sometimes point out to people that the Sun couldn't pass even the laxest nuclear saftey standards. Without the sheilding provided by the Earths magnetic field and atmosphere, we would pick up a leathal radiation dose in a fairly short amount of time.

True enough, I am actually a supporter of Hydro-electric power, but its not the totally clean, green panacea some people make it out to be.
