Re[6]: Patents

Richard and Perfessur, thanks for the education. As I understand, Hirsch and Farnsworth generated characteristic nuclear signatures by intense impingement of oscillating fields. These concepts hold much potential. The fusion in a Coke can posted by Clay Codner sounds similar. Both promise success over recent attempts such as P&F.

The problem with P&F and most followers recurred due to persistence to continuously violate Carnot's basic law, i.e., a temperature gradient induces power especially with nuclear ignition. How in the world could they have expected to produce results by continuously soaking in isothermal bath??!!

I favor brunt manifestation of mass-energy reaction. I tried in the backyard:

Yes, I worried about a runaway reaction. I sent the family way across town to wait. When asked by a member of the California Professional Engineers Association during my luncheon speech what I told the neighbors, I paused for a minute then blurted, "I didn't tell em!" Uproarious laughter resulted.

We should do more of this. Potential backers ignore infinitesimal results that beg denoucement. But their pockets pour money when a 6 foot hole is melted in the concrete floor.
