I kinda' subscribe to the thermodynamics of life.

You can't get more actual energy out of any system than you put in........period......unless, you chemically burn/explode something to get a few ev per molecule over many quadrillions of reacting molecules in an exothermic reaction.......or, unless you do something nuclear that is also exothermic.......or unless you tap into a potential energy source that has its "hammer" automatically recocked for free by nature, falling water, tidal, wind, geothermal, unsuspected or novel hidden chemistry, etc.

Accelerating electrons in a fusor can't produce X-rays any more potent that the energy used to accelerate them unless they do something nuclear at a target or are further accelerated by a freebie potential energy source which is consumed or replenished by nature once consumed.

Now.......It is true that x-rays, in theory, might through an electron-electron reaction, double in energy due to really close interactions and bremstrahlung as they might collide head on. This would let you, in theory, see 40kv x-rays from a 20kv power supply attached to a fusor. All this is old, and has been mentioned before on our list. It is in the very nature of a spherical electrostatic collider. However, we did have to supply 20kev to two individual electrons to get that summed total, so still no free energy, we just got to use a lower voltage supply but double the current.

It is really a stretch however to claim 100 or a 1000 boost in X-ray output energy.
