No surprise that ITER has another delay and more cost overruns. Yes, piling on some more. This is certainly just a waste of money. Money better spent on new solar or battery research or even a stellarator (through, that too would be pointless but at least wouldn't lead to blowing up with a plasma loss.) Certainly a better expenditure would be for a safer fission reactor that would produce gigawatts of actual power.
