Sabine Hossenfelder does it again!

Post by Richard Hull »

This Just released you tube video is superb, but 30 minutes long and worth the sitting! Why?

It is the first condensation of virtually every fusion effort on earth with data on each, such as when the start-up occurred, how many hundreds of millions of US dollars each start up has, and how many people are employed in each, sucking off the money tit. In addition, she gives each company's current fusion status and when they will do first light, when they will go over unity and when they say they will produce grid ready energy.

In short, like any good physicist, she has researched the hell out of these various government and two dozen private start-ups! Like good ole Carl Sagan would say, "There are now Billions and Billions of dollars in play in the fusion biz". The old mantra of real soon now has re-infected the fusion biz due to the two dozen start-ups exchanging the currency of hype for dollars with ridiculous claims with almost all promising grid fusion in the late 2020's to the mid-2030's. Sabine gives the start-up's current fusion temperature and the various fusion fuels in play. She gives the advantages and disadvantages of many of the efforts.

While private funding is the sole money for most start-ups, it is normally in the 100 million plus range thanks to Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, and other multi-billionaires.

This video is your one-stop encyclopedia of what is going on at this moment in fusion and who is who, doing what, with what money, how many folks are employed, their location and when they will be 100% grid ready. You be the judge and enjoy the merry-go-round ride of facts coming at you like machine gun bullets.

A must watch for those who think power fusion is out their just be be snatched with more money and different approaches
I equate this with the mantra "more money for education will help make our kids smarter", real soon now. Of course, school scores fall across the board, STEM classes are dropped to spit out more graduates as the money pours in.

Fusion is the energy of the future....and it always will be
The more complex the idea put forward by the poor amateur, the more likely it will never see embodiment
