FAQ - No discussion on radioisotope neutron sources!

Post by Richard Hull »

It has long been our policy not to give advice or assistance in any manner to anyone applying to this site for information on their personal attempt to manufacture a radioisotope neutron source!!

It is against NRC regulations to assemble such a source and we do not condone the activity. Our neutron source is our fusors which do not involve the handling of long lived radioisotopes.

Please refer such inquires to self-directed learning via the library where such available literature can be found.
Tell such people as may inquire that we do not assist in such activities here.

While I am sure that everyone here is well read and knows how Fermi and others did this, we are not to be involved in assisting anyone inquiring how to do this dangerous and illegal process.

Anyone doing this will have any and all such reply posts removed and face possible banning from this site.

While this has been stated in many past postings and has been considered an un-written rule, everyone may now consider this a written rule!!!
