Question On Arcing in Chamber

It may be difficult to separate "theory" from "application," but let''s see if this helps facilitate the discussion.

Question On Arcing in Chamber

Post by Logan Holler »

Hi everyone!
Hopefully a quick question: I was wondering if anyone had any resources on arcing between cathodes and anodes at high voltages and how that changes with respect to vacuum pressure. Our goal is to achieve 75 kV which almost guarantees arcing but I was hoping I could find a resource that relates arcing, vacuum pressure, and voltage.

Thanks!
