HTS Magnets
HTS Magnets
Commonwealth Fusion Sytems, Tokamak Energy, and others are relying on HTS technology to meet their performance goals. Specifically, the breakthrough 20T magnet at CFS was done through a partnership with SuperOx. SuperOx has several facilities, but its main location and production facility is in Moscow, Russia. I wonder how current world events might impact the progress of those relying on SuperOx HTS.

Re: HTS Magnets
Good question.
Kind of like with the International Space Station, how much will politics and sanctions interfere?
Last week the Russians suspended sales & service of RD-180 and RD-181 rocket engines,
used by mainstream US aerospace companies in Atlas and Antares rockets.

We could just chicom those Ruskie rocket engines. Copy them and use them. Good enough for the Chinese should be OK for us to do it too.
