3D models of grid and cooling system:
Liquid cooled grid and accompanying cooling system. The grid has been tested up to 40kV @~18ma, coolant is fluorinert FC-40. There is a pinhole burnthrough in the macor bushing (see picture 2), this will have to be replaced. I can provide a cad design for the bushing/grid. This is an electrical insulator and not part of the grid's vacuum envelope.
The cooling system is designed to cool the fluorinert and pump it through the grid. The cooling system used an IDEX gear pump that runs on 12-24VDC, the thermoelectric cooler and water pump require 12VDC. The water cooling loop should be connected to a small PC radiator.
Also included: spare 2.75" conflat mount, coolant pressure gauges, filters, fittings, and 2x type k thermocouples for measuring coolant temperature

Emphasizing the "Or best offer" part. Make me a reasonable offer and I'll likely take it.

Hi Andrew!
I haven't been on this board since it seemed to be down a few years ago, your ad on FB caused me to check it out again! Very glad to see it up again.
My fusor sits here in my office reminding me every day that I need to get back to doing experiments and evolving my design. That grid would make a great upgrade!
Not ready to bite just yet, but I might make an offer some time after the end of this week... have to replace my old oil tank for our furnace, and see if I have anything left after that... I was hoping I would have a working fusion reactor to heat my house with by now, but alas...
Good to see you up here, glad to see a lot of the familiar folks are still active on here, including you!
Dave

It would take decades of work, by thousands of scientists, in a particle accelerator powered by dump trucks of flaming grant money! - Professor Farnsworth/FUTURAMA

So what’s the deal with the burn through the macor? Was it over voltage? How involved is it going to be getting that repaired for someone that has no access to any machines (lathe)? What’s the peak voltage rating?
My new power supply has been really pushing my little cathodes and I’m looking into something that can handle a lot more power. My power supply can get up to 75kV, which is where I plan to settle around.

Cooling system / parts sold, grid still available.
Liquid cooled grid: $190+shipping or best offer

To answer Matt's question, it was typically run at 40kV, it eventually burnt through the macor after a few years. To replace the bushing you would need a lathe to machine the ceramic, however you could also modify the insulator to not have the macor at all.
