LH IONIVAC IM 21 gauge controller meter turns left?

Every fusor and fusion system seems to need a vacuum. This area is for detailed discussion of vacuum systems, materials, gauging, etc. related to fusor or fusion research.

LH IONIVAC IM 21 gauge controller meter turns left?

Post by steve_rb »

When I turn on our Leybold IONIVAC IM 21 controller, the analog meter needle usually was turning right to show the correct pressure and slowly was moving left as pressure goes down but something happened yesterday and now when I turn on this controller needle moves to left end fast and locks there. Anyone has similar experience?

Also manual for this controller can help if anyone has got a copy?

I striped the controller and tracked display meter connections. Finally I found N5558V chip draw too much current and PS 30V drops to 18V. Now I need schematic to find the problem. Anyone can help me with the Electronic schematic?
