Vacuum Gauge and Controller help

Post by Aidan Cookson »

Hi,
I recently bought an Inficon MPG401 Pirani/Cold Cathode gauge and an Inficon VGC403 Controller for it off of ebay. The seller said they both work, however, when I plug in the sensor, the controller says "NO Sens". Do I need to activate the sensor somehow or press another button? I have read through the manuals, but have found nothing important.

I know the controller is for 3 gauges but it was the cheapest one I could find ironically. I have just been using the third sensor port because it is the only one with the correct type of cable connector.

Vacuum Gauge: http://www.pchemlabs.com/product.asp?pid=4439

Controller: http://www.pchemlabs.com/product.asp?pid=4438 -Mine looks slightly older

I just found the cable here http://www.pchemlabs.com/product.asp?pid=4426 and it says the cable that my gauge came with is meant for different gauges. Is that the problem?

Here is a picture of mine

I figured it out. The ebay post claimed it was a 403 but i just realized it was a 103.
