Clean out @ work

Pity to see this stuff going to the recyclers. Not alot of metal in there but plenty of glass.

John,

You are not seriously throwing out all those accelerator tubes ???

Can you keep one for me?

Just wondering what all those short/long and in between size accelerator tubes were used for? Looks like you could have supplied a few dozen builders of ESLA projects. Some of us building ESLA (such as me) are in shock looking at that picture - just cruel (lol.)

Dennis
each tube weighs around a hundred pounds or more due to the glass.
Shipping from here would be prohibitive.
There was an assortment of electron and ion type tubes in the mix, all were aluminium / pyrex glass construction with each tube designed for around 3MeV.
all gone now recyclers picked up the skip this morning.

I sympathise but there were no takers when advertised.

I see your answer crossed my question... it still hurts.

I recently made a complete spot welder from things which were thrown away at my work, everything for free

Everywhere I worked had registered "trash". It was shreded.
Papers were shreded on the site. More like pulverized to dust.
