Every fusor and fusion system seems to need a vacuum. This area is for detailed discussion of vacuum systems, materials, gauging, etc. related to fusor or fusion research.

You could, but why? They are also selling the turbo controller as well:

I got one last week. Did a make offer of $75 and they took it. I cant even buy the parts for that price.

Will these pumps be able to pump down to the necessary vacuum for a fusion reaction?

Way more, but you still need a roughing pump to back these.

Why do you say "but why?" seems like a plausable second pump? Be gentile I am a newb.

This second device is the electrical drive for the pump. The first poster was suggesting he might build his own electrical circuits (to drive the motor in the turbo pump) but the parts to make that would cost more than buying this controller that would [hopefully] do that job.
