Hello from Canada!! (David Makarczyk)

Post by David Makarczyk »

Hello fellow fusioneers!

My name is David Makarczyk, I am an engineering student at the University of Waterloo. I became fascinated with the topic of fusion during an internship at the Institute of Plasma Physics and Laser Microfusion, and that is where my dream of building a fusor began. One of the engineers there showed me a demo fusor that he built using scrap materials from the lab.

Over the past year, I've obtained a pretty decent vacuum chamber generously donated by one of my professors, as well as a NST and an Edwards E2M8 rotary vane pump. I achieved first plasma a few weeks ago; however, I still need to get accurate voltage and current measurements before applying to the plasma club.

Thank you for this wonderful site that got me this far! I look forward to joining the fusor.net community and further upgrading my fusor!

Cheers,
David

Welcome David.

I am pleased to hear you've learned a thing or three already from this site.

And even more pleased that you used your full first and last name as your login ID.

You'd be surprised how hard that is sometimes – especially for people who want to do nuclear fusion !

Thanks,

You will need to supply 3 specific readings and a photo of your plasma. Post the plasma voltage applied, Current sent to make the plasma and the pressure in the chamber at the time the plasma was achieved.

Fusion is the energy of the future....and it always will be
The more complex the idea put forward by the poor amateur, the more likely it will never see embodiment
