Attending APS DPP?

Post by Liam David »

I'm curious if there's anyone else here who's attending the APS Division of Plasma Physics conference in Denver between Oct. 29 and Nov. 3. I'll be there the whole week and will be presenting a poster that Thursday. I'm always happy to meet fusor forum people out and about.

Hey Liam, any idea if the conference is still open for registrations? I took a look at the website, and I'm worried it's too late.

The early deadline has passed so the registration cost is a bit higher now, but you can register until at least Oct. 20th it seems, and perhaps all the way up until the conference. Information, including costs, are here: https://engage.aps.org/dpp/meetings/ann ... ation-2023

Oh great, thanks. I missed that link the first time.

Looks like I might be able to make it. Hope I can. Any chance you'd give a sneak peak of the title of your poster? :^)

I'll be presenting some preliminary stabilization results for the PFRC-2, the field-reversed configuration machine at PPPL (also the machine that holds the world record for longest duration FRC).

I know some folks from the lab I'm working in will be attending. Unfortunately it seems unlikely that I'll be able to tag along but I look forward to hearing about it!

I'll be attending too, planning on stopping by some uranium mines on the way there and possibly Bayo Canyon too.

It's that time of year again... APS DPP is right after HEAS and I will be attending both. Anyone else I might see at DPP?
