Dr. Sabine Hossenfelder's take on a (not surprised) Nobel prize winning physicist that thinks he knows more than everyone. Worse, he thinks all experts in any field but his own are dishonest liars (besides climate scientist, geologist and meteorologist would have to play along besides many other experts in various fields and government). This guy is a total loon*. Fun to see Sabine take on this nutcase. And yes, it is fun but also depressing to see what a total moron this seemly "brilliant" physicist really is - I guess intelligence and actual smarts are two very different things (hope I'm in the later category.)

*Fun (not a) fact: did you know that solar radiation on the Earth somehow speeds up the Earth's rotation? No? Guess your either not a flat Earther nor crazy. Seriously, to state this as fact is so unbelievable as to be tragic.

It is sad that yet another scientist (other examples: Avi Loeb, Shinichi Mochizuki) falls into what I can only call idiocy. The tone of his voice sounds like sheer arrogance.
Addendum to the fun fun fact many might not be aware about: radiation actually slows down rotation very slightly. Completely irrelevant for a planet, but it is a relevant factor for some asteroids.

I am shocked that such a brilliant person is literally unhinged on this subject and doesn't even understand such simple facts or how to handle data correctly. They decided, without doing any real fact based research, to disbelieve in this scientific fact. As a result, they are determined to believe the converse of reality no matter now silly or even unhinged their justifications. This behavior is really innate to being human but that sure isn't how science works and I'd hope most people tend to realize this as they progress in school.
But I want to make clear relative to my post - just because someone denies global warming or aspects of it does NOT mean they are stupid or crazy! There is a vast paid lobbying industry to provide incorrect information and sow doubt in many areas of science but especially climate science. So, people who are not well versed in science certainly can be confused and decide that global warming is either not real or just a normal process that has nothing to do with human emissions (carbon burning, not the typical political ones .)

Same goes for information about fusion energy.
Fusion energy is hope. Climate predictions are disaster. Nice dichotomy.
Richard Hull, climate acceptor, fusion energy skeptic

Progress may have been a good thing once, but it just went on too long. - Yogi Berra
Fusion is the energy of the future....and it always will be
The more complex the idea put forward by the poor amateur, the more likely it will never see embodiment
