What's the suitable radius for tungsten filament in making grids?

Post by Jiashen Chen »

Hi everyone,
I decided to use tungsten wire to make fusor's grid. For the first time, I bought tungsten wire with a radius of 0.2mm. It's too thin. The second time I bought a tungsten wire with a radius of 2 mm, it was too thick. So what radius of tungsten wire is suitable?

Why do you think 0.2 mm wire is too thin?
Why do you think 2.0 mm wire is too thick?
