Thanks Steven. A lot of folks don't know this about Oliphant and think fusion can after the A bomb work. Fusion was born before fission.

One just can't help having respect for these first guys who detected neutrons, with their experimental equipment.
Here most of us have professionally made neutron tubes, electronics that these guys could only dream of, and we still struggle to count the darn things.
Love the way he describes Rutherford, excactly as I have read, loud and dominant, with a lot of personality.
