Re: Hadron Collider in the news.
I read a theory about that several months ago. This is the first time I have seen it presented on video and / or heard that french bread was found in the vacuum system.

Well......If they start 'messing around with gravity'........
Previously the joke this side of the pond was that 'creating a black hole' would 'suck in' all the swiss chocolate...........
Was the baguette crumb found in the bit under France?

Re: Hadron Collider in the news.
I recall that the problem occured when a bird droped a (large?) piece of French Bread onto a transformer outside the building and shorted out a transformer. This cut power to the refrigeration system, requireing a shut down. I wonder how close this came to triggering another superconductor quenching accident. Was the accident last year with the subsequent modification of proceedures, and some equipment (?) responsible for averting disaster this time?
