Hello,
My name is Cole Wilhite, I have recently got into gamma spectroscopy but I have no idea of where to start.
I want to build a wireless bluetooth or 433 MHz gamma spectrometer for a hobby using a silicon photomultiplier and a homemade MCA to log the isotopes and send them to either my tablet or a display in my room for passive detection.

Welcome aboard Cole.
Be sure to read all the FAQ's and use the search function. Just about every question has been asked and answered many times as the group has been around for over 20 years... yes, all the posts are still here!
Heres some specific resources for starting a gamma spec system.

Lastly, please remove the "Cole W36" from your identifying info.
Good luck!

Re: Hello from Texas
There really isn't a whole lot of discussion in regards to silicon photomultipliers in this forum or any other forums that are in English.
I would use standard PMT tubes but i already have 3 crystals on the way.
