Radium - by Soddy - update

Post by Richard Hull »

This is an update to my original report on this fantastic book. Soddy imbues the reader with the fascination and wonder, still palpable in 1909, for the newness of radiation and its import to mankind.

As most will note, first editions of this 1909 book are selling for over $150.00 now in only average used condition.

There was a modern hardback reprint of this book in early 2000! The, as issued, price was about $90.00, but bright used or remainder new copies can be had from about $50.00.

There was issued, also, a paper back of Soddy's book around 2006. It was priced at about $24.95, but is commonly sold new discounted to $19.95.

Check amazon, and other book sellers for current pricing. This is a great book and can now be had brand new for a great low price.

Finally, for the destitute or those who have some sort of aversion to books, Alistair in a reply to the above URL posting, gives an online source for the entire book. FREE!

These old, rare, seminal texts are so good, they are forced to reprint them.
