Irving Sax - Dangerous Properties of Industrial Materials
If you mess around in obscure corners of science, this book can quite literally be a life saver. As the title states, it covers handling of dangerous materials, and has quite an extensive list of common and obscure chemicals. Before you mess with something, check it out first in this book.

G. N. Glasoe and J. V. Lebacqz - Pulse Generators
This book is part of the renowned MIT Radiation Lab series.
It covers thyratrons, spark gaps, pulse forming networks, and pulse transformers, with extensive theoretical and practical detail. The emphasis is on radar applications, but it's still very germane for people interested in pulsed power. This is a fine companion to the Sarjeant and Dollinger tome mentioned in "potpourri".

Pulse Generators is the original book on hydrogen thyratrons and high energy pulse circuits. Put out at the end of WW II, it is the definitve discussion regarding the pulse circuitry associated with the secret war work of the radiation labs at MIT. All that it contains is still good and solid info, though totally tube based. It is a good book for guys who want the original "horse's mouth" treatise on big pulsed systems.
