This book is a quite complete reference for all phenomena relating electrical breakdown in gases. I attach the index:
.- Fundamental processes in electrical discharges.
.- Breakdown at low gas presssures.
.- Corona discharges.
.- Experimental studies of the growth of spark discharges.
.- The lightning discharge.
.- Theory of the spark mechanism.
.- Breakdown voltage characteristics.
.- Irradiation and time lags.
.- High frequency gas discharges.
.- The spark channel.
.- Electrode effects.
.- Glow to arc transition.
While there are numerous derivations as well as complete presentations of many theories, there is also a lot of discussion of both experimental methods as well as experimental results. Furthermore, the authors are the original creators of the streamer theory of spark propagation! Thus, chapter 6, 4 and 10 are written by who were at the moment the experts on the field. I highly recommend this book
