Photodiode Pulser Circuit

Attached is a short page describing a photodiode pulser that can be used to test charge sensitive and other preamp circuits. Using this pulser, one obtains accurate results for charge sensitive amplifier fall time. The circuit is a touch slower than a PMT, but a whole lot easier to build and power, and smaller to boot. Any fast photodiode could be used in place of the SFH203 cited in the schematic.

I do not know about the original file but I use this one to test SPIMs and PMT's

Note it uses a very high voltage to get the necessary dI/dT through the blue LED
