Its not perfect but its still plasma. Is this good enough for plasma list?

If you need more pictures of my set up I can provide those. I wasn't sure if you just need the plasma or the whole set up

Could we have some details. AC or DC?, Vacuum system used? Chamber?

I'm using an AC 12Kv 30ma neon sign trasnformer. I'm using a vacuum bell jar from unitednuclear. Com and my vacuum pump, I don't know what company it is but it's ultimate vacuum is 5Pa. I have purchased a rectifying diode 20Kv 30ma and it is in the mail.

Charlie,
I don't know what to say but it worked for me. It worked very shortly but it still worked.

Charlie,
I have my nst hooked up to a piece of a wire coming out of my chamber base. That is sealed with hot glue. I have my vacuum pump pumping out the air for a good 2 minutes then I plug in my hv and turn it on

What kind of pump, what is the current and voltage of the NST, what kind of chamber, pictures of setup?

I don't know what kind of pump I simply forgot. 30ma and 8kv and a bell jar it is too late where I live to take pictures of my setup I'm only 14 and is supposed to be sleeping

Well I just think that this is not enough info to prove plasma, correct me if I am wrong but I have not seen any real progress of your project on the site.

You would be correct in saying I have not posted much progress on the site. This was due to family issues at the time. This was going on during the one and a half month period in which I got most of my materials. It was just a week before I finished my demo fusor when the issues got cleared up. Not to be rude, but do you have any business calling me a fake? I have pictures of my plasma. I have enough proof. Who are you to try to call my hard work for 4 months not real?

Not at all, I would just like to know more about your system. Showing up on a form and posting a very dark photo like that is going to raise skepticism. I believe that this is real, I just want to know more about how and what.

Sorry, but it seemed that you were trying to call me a phony, to disprove my work. That dark photo was the only good enough photo I could find, because of the newer NST the plasma only flickers for a second every time I turn on the HV. My friend pointed out this may be due to the GFI on the newer NST's. Therefor, it is very hard to get a picture, but it looks magnitudes better in real life. Sorry if I accused you, but to me it seemed like you were trying to get me off the list or something.

Charlie,

I can understand your concern, however being that I am a good friend of Jack's I have seen his fusor in action. His vacuum pump is a 3cfm with a complete vacuum of 37 microns. That pump leads to a shut off valve which leads to his bell jar chamber purchased from united nuclear scientific. His high voltage is an 8kv neon sign transformer which runs at 30ma. He recently purchased a rectifying diode off ebay.
I hope this information clears any confusion up.

I was just wondering as a fellow kid trying to achieve the ultimate goal of fusion. You are ahead of me in the demo sense yet I have a complete roughing and diffusion setup with a 15kv 30ma no GFI NST with rectification. I just wanted to compare.

Charlie,
If you have all of that why don't you try for plasma? I'm sure you can get there, since I have much worse equipment and did it.

I myself am looking for an NST with no GFI. I spend hours a day researchig and shopping. This is literally all I do all day. My goal is to build a neutron producing fusion reactor by my junior year in high school with a complete vacuum system and glassman high voltage. I am going into 9th grade this year and still have a lot to learn in high voltage and vacuum technology.

I wish you the best of luck.

Just find a giant and heavy metal NST with only three input blots and two large ceramic knobs for ouput, nothing else. That is a true no GFI NST. Also I will probbaly end up making my own supply using a X-RAY XFMR.

Charlie,
Maybe me scott and you could plan together. The three of us have the ultimate goal of fusion. Why not help each other in getting there. Text me at 201-220-4391 or email me at jackrosky@gmail.com

I originally thought that any NST with 3 input knobs and 2 outputs would have no GFI and be acceptable. However, after going through the history on this forum a found out that if it has a little reset button then it has a GFI. I was considering purchasing a Franceformer. Im still not sure I just hope to achieve plasma soon so I can begin working on a neutron producin fusor.

Sorry if it's all cleared up and all, but Charlie I think Jack's been fairly good at providing info over the last while - I think he's been doing at least as much as info provision as me if not more.

Just a lil bit of opinion...
