Just to share, did a successful run of another new demo fusor with better vacuum parts and electronics. No actual fusion here, just pretty plasma confinement in the works.

Voltages are (very roughly) in order of the increasing brightness you see:
- 1500V
- 2350V
- 3125V
- 3900V
- 4700V
- 5450V
- 7000V

Running at a pressure of about 30 Pascals, using a centre-tapped neon sign transformer.

I am just noticing a plasma arc jet in the bottom of the grid and I am wondering if it can be used as a plasma thruster of some sort for satellite applications. Would there still be enough particles in the atmosphere in LEO (with a density of 10E-13kg/m3 roughly) to do adequate plasma confinement? Let me know your thoughts?

you are almost there
Calculate it out and report back --ps quite a simple calc
