Hello everyone, I am happy to say that on October 14th, I achieved fusion. I have been practicing operation with my deuterium system for about a month now as I had to wait for my bubble dosimeter to arrive and wanted to have some practice in for when I actually measured neutron radiation. I began this project last year when I was in grade 11 with the completion of my first demo fusor. One year later, I have finally completed my fusor at 17 during my grade 12 year.
Fusor Parts:
Transformer: 120kV X-Ray Transformer
Ballast: MOT
Rectifier: 2 40kV diodes 2 20kv diodes in series (120kV) for each winding
Voltage Control: 20 amp variac
Primary Pump: Robinair 15600 6CFM
Secondary Pump: Alcatel 5081 Turbo Pump
High Vacuum Gauge: Ionization Gauge
Deuterium System: PEM equipped with an over under pressure system, drierite and a needle valve.
Data:
Time of Operation: 7 minutes and 30 seconds (450 seconds)
Voltage: 26kV average
Current: 30mA average
D2 Pressure: 5-15 microns
Neutron Data:
Detector Type: BD-PND Bubble Dosimeter, 22 bubble/mrem sensitivity
Number of Bubbles: 8
Distance: 12" (30.48cm) from the center of the grid (9" from shell + 3" from shell to center of grid)
Calculations:
Flux: (3600/450) * 8 * (8/22) = 23.27n/cm2/s
Isotropic surface area: 3.14 * 4 * 30.48^2 = 11,668.62cm^2
Total Isotropic Emmision Rate: 23.27 * 11,668.62 = 271,528.83 n/s
Fusor Set Up:
Inner Grid:
Detector:
Me:
Thanks to everyone who has provided insight along my fusor journey, I hope to continue working with my fusor and eventually conduct tests in the 50kV range.

Re: Neutron Claim
Sam, I have entered your name in the Neutron Club listing.
You have done well and if you continue to work with your fusor, you will do much better.
