The RIKEN-RAL Muon Facility

Post by Wilfried Heil »

Research into muon catalyzed fusion, among other experiments, is still pretty much alive today.
This is quite an impressive facility at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory in the UK.

Muons are used as a sensitive tool to probe the magnetic fields in the vicinity of a nucleus.
