Hi , I've done a graph, which I think match's voltage and pressure, and was wondering if this would work as a fuser.
The data was from the beerkig fuser thread. The electrode will be 0.5cm apart, with a 15psi water pump.

I have the water pump, a 60kv setup, guessing 1ma(will simulate it), but is it wise to buy some D and a field meter with that data. Will the water pump if the water section is the same area as the chamber lower the pressure enough, and will I need more volts.
My income is low($30 week left), so I would like to get into the ball park first

Added more accurate data, Jerry have the water boiling point table, at 10kpa it should be 40-50C,about the flat grid it more the concept behind a ion engine, so can use those formulas. First thing I'm going to build will be the cw stack, will post pic when thats done.
Has I haven't built a working fuser, I don't know weather this will help, but the grid geometry might be improved. It uses more current with one grid and more KE, two grids spaces wider apart uses less current and less KE,

No.
If you are trying to to evacuate it with the water that will never happen. Water will boil at low pressure.
There are many, many basic designs out there for known working fusors, start with one of those.

Working on some ideas for a inner grid, this is prototype one. Test it out with a 60kv supply but doesn't arc into the chamber. At 1cm standoff it makes 5 stream which cover 1mm each

Oh lord, flux core welding is the last thing you would want to do in a vacuum system.

Jerry tells it like it is....
Vacuums of the technical and scientific type abhore volatiles. As the pressure starts to drop, the gloppy stuff comes alive from every molecular corner of the system. Every trapped air and water and flux molecule explodes into the vacuum volume as an unwanted intruder. Start a plasma and you'll find quadrillions of additional molecules that the simple vacuum pump couldn't scrub out.
Vacuum systems need to be beyond immaculate inside before you start the pump, or you'll foul your oil and pump by moving every evil inside your system to the mechanicals and oil of your pump.
The deeper the vacuum sought, the more time needs to be devoted to cleanliness. AS our vacuums are pretty much medium or technical vacuums we need not hyper-clean only get stuff "squeaky clean"

Thanks I didn't know that, I think I'll have to leave this for testing the voltage increases and not pressure, I'm not going to beable to clean this.

I've cleaned up the inner grid, I just need a deictic . I was wondering if fiberglass or pva could be used in a vacuum, or other suggestion.
