This area is for discussions involving any fusion related radiation metrology issues. Neutrons are the key signature of fusion, but other radiations are of interest to the amateur fusioneer as well.

I now like the idea of a late 60's early 70's prototype as this is definitely not the suitcase noted in the Los Alamos report which contained fewer detectors.

This suitcase had 27 small 3He detectors while the monsterous, nearly 75 lb Los Alamos suitcase contained 8 half meter long 3He tubes.

Finally, with a recorder you would only know post facto that this puppy was in a cargo hold with Pu after the luggage on the plane was sent to the four winds. One would think that a radio signal might have alerted someone in real time.
