Percuilar note found on MCA

This area is for discussions involving any fusion related radiation metrology issues. Neutrons are the key signature of fusion, but other radiations are of interest to the amateur fusioneer as well.

Percuilar note found on MCA

Post by murrayim » Sat Nov 26, 2005 5:46 pm

Uranium and Plutonium anyone?

Finding a hand-written note listing four uranium and three plutonium isotopes and their "region of interest" is not a everyday occurrence. Cohered to my Canberra Series 20, I found just this.

The note lists U-238, U-235, U-234, U-232 and Pu-242, Pu-239, Pu-238 with a range of two numbers. This range could be a region of interest, but this is just a assumption.

Any thoughts?

Does anyone know where I can find a manual for my Series 20?

Hi Ian:

Rent Tom Clancy's movie "Sum of All Fears" , it will answer your question very well.
They use an MCA for this key movie plot turn.
This is the first public movie that shows this key tool that I'm aware of.

Happy Fusoring!
