FROM RANEY EBERLINE GM COUNTER

This area is for discussions involving any fusion related radiation metrology issues. Neutrons are the key signature of fusion, but other radiations are of interest to the amateur fusioneer as well.

FROM RANEY EBERLINE GM COUNTER

Post by raneyt »

Guys,

Now that I have the new computer & digial camera, I'll finally posting some photos of things I may have mentioned a while ago.

This is the Eberline GM counter I bought off eBay a couple of months back. It works great & we even calibrated it at Richard Hull's lab.

Nice counter & it was pretty clean, just a little dust, takes D cells, etc. The speaker uses a 15V battery, but I made an adapter & inserted a smaller 12V garage door transmitter battery & it works fine. I don't always use the audio when the counter is connected to the electronic counter anyway.

It was a good deal for about $160.00 & it replaced my vintage CD GM counter.

Warm Regards,

TIM RANEY

As always, nothing on earth beats a large pancake detector in the GM world.

Fusion is the energy of the future....and it always will be
The more complex the idea put forward by the poor amateur, the more likely it will never see embodiment
