Harshaw Scintillator Preamp connection diagram

This area is for discussions involving any fusion related radiation metrology issues. Neutrons are the key signature of fusion, but other radiations are of interest to the amateur fusioneer as well.

Harshaw Scintillator Preamp connection diagram

Post by guest »

I just picked up a really nice Harshaw 4"x4" NaI(Tl)
detector with PMT preamp in the tube base.
The power connector is a 5-pin blue Amphenol
type. Does anyone have a power connection
diagram for this type of PMT preamp?
Thanks...CT

The best way to dope out this circuit is probably to open it up and take a look. A possible scenario is : +HV, GND, output, +V, and -V, or some small variation thereof. It might be a good idea also to replace the conector with something that is more available. Nothing is more frustrating than trying to find a mate for an obscure and obsolete connector.
