Any use for us ?

Are they a pulse only approach, rather than continous ?

Re: Marx generators
Nanos,
Marx generators are pulsed power sources. The closest continuous equivalent would be the venerable Cockroft-Walton multiplier. Both devices work by charging capacitors in parallel and discharging them in series.
Applications have been identified for pulsed fusors, such as dieaway neutron interrogation for fissile contraband. A Marx generator could be used for that application.

Re: Marx generators
Z-pinch is a fusion application that used a modified Marx generator. Like carl said it's a pulsed power source. it might be interesting to build a fusor with 4 grids; one set between the other one using standard continuous power source and the other using a pulsed power source with the inner most grid conected to the pulsed power source.
this would be a challange to prevent arcing and other electrical/grounding problems.
