Connector for older Turbovac 50 drives

Post by Jerry Biehler »

Anyone know who makes that odd circular 5 pin connector on the older NT 50 and NT 10 drives for the leybold Turbovac 50? I am having a heck of a time figuring out that one. I called leybold today and the person who would know was not there.

That is the pump side, I need the circular connector on the drive side.

Sorry, my NT 13 has a double row of male spade pins. I crimped female wire connectors to the 120V lines and the wires to the motor. Not ideal but works fine.

Yeah, thats what my NT13 had. But it went up in smoke the other night. Literally. Internal short in the power supply ended up taking out most of the logic semi's out on the logic side.

This is the correct connector to connect to that one on the back. This has screw binding post terminals:

Ignore the pic they have, they are just using a generic pic for that DIN series of connectors.

Maybe someone's still seeking - the connector is Schaltbau M1 E-4P+PE. It's not a single item, one need to configure the plug holder, the pin and socket details, the shell etc.

It's a bit pricey - especially the shell is over 17 euros. The pins are over 1.50 eur each. I'm giving it up and keeping the connections quick and dirty.

Thanks. I just got another TMP50 and drive with no cable but a friend had a cable so I got lucky, it's nice to have that info though.
