Re: Deuterium lecture bottles on ebay

I wonder how much grief the hazmat shipping would be.

Re: Deuterium lecture bottles on ebay

I looked at the Ebay listing. In the photos, the labels do not look correct for a flammable gas! The cylinders pictured have green label which is for non-flammable compressed gases, say neon or xenon. For hydrogen or deuterium it should be a red label with a picture of a flame.

Re: Fusor Running, No Neutron Detection

I've had no problems with having the desiccant in line between the over/under pressure vials and the mass flow controller leading to the fusor. So I would suspect an issue with the neutron counter first, if you have already checked for leaks causing air contamination of the D2 source.

Re: TA DA New Use of Plasmas

As long as it's crystal controlled so it stays on 27.12 MHz and they keep the "garbage" from the plasma within the 326 kHZ bandwidth, the FCC won't care. Diathermy machines operate in this band.

Re: TA DA New Use of Plasmas

Seems that this should have been posted in some other section as it is not "another form of fusion". I wonder how long before the FDA shuts them down.

Re: TA DA New Use of Plasmas

27.12 MHz is the center of that ISM Band. Yes, shared with CB radio. CB radio is a secondary user, so must accept interference from ISM devices.

Re: PEM Hydrogen Fuel Cells

You can buy just a PEM Electrolyzer, model FCSU-010 (which should work better than the reversible cells sold with the car kits) direct from http://horizonfuelcellshop.com/americas. It will set you back $59.45 plus shipping.

Re: Spellman Power Supplies

I'll also add that if you are just going to throw money at it and order a brand new supply from Spellman, they do not stock that I know of, they build to order with a typical lead time of ten weeks. If you are good with high voltage electronics, you can probably do it in less time, although the lead...

Re: FAQ - Sealing a conflat flange and flanges in multiples

If you are using a convection gauge as I am for coarse vacuum, or any other type that is sensitive to changes in gas composition, you can use a can of "dust off" to spray each joint and watch for a change in the gauge reading. Tighten until there is no longer a change, then check other joints if the...
