Re: Hydrogen Boron Reactor claims breakthrough.

At least they are using a similar NBI Technology as the Tokamak at EPFL: "Budker Institute"!
Attached you see the Technology used at the EPFL (with the BUDKER Label) - and the TriAlpha NBIs can be seen on the video.

Re: New tabletop particle accelerator

I just went through the laserfocusworld article you mentioned and also browsed through the ELI website: It might be true; generating extremly high field intensities has to be tested once. But I see several Inhibitors there: The countries where they do want to build these devices are not famous for t...

You can also search for the words "neutral beam heating" in the tokamak world. There is currently work in Progress regarding a new design: http://www.researchgate.net/publication/272754042_Upgrade_of_the_TCV_tokamak_first_phase_Neutral_beam_heating_system In this case the Deuterium ist ionized by a ...

Re: How to make fusion economic

I'm sorry - but I have to support all others who try to convince you to start learning about fusion before you bring up such ideas. It took me months of learning before I decided to add some content to this forum! Adding valuable comments to such a complex matter is extremely hard. As long as you ar...

Visit to EPFL's Tokamak Fusion Reactor

Dear fusion fans! We’ve been to the TCV in Lausanne (Switzerland) – a Tokamak design fusion reactor with Ohmic Heating, Electron Cyclotron Resonance Heating, Neutral Beam Heating and several diagnostic systems. The reactor design allows testing of many different plasma shapes which makes this constr...

Re: Reactor chassis

Still working at the HV-PS. Got some issues with LabView I was not able to solve until now. And I'm still looking to find some thick PET sheets for Isolation. 42 kV DC with > 2kVA are not so easy to shield and isolate!!!! The "big" chamber will be used after this and after I did some testruns with t...

Re: Reactor chassis

Did you use any kind of shielding (magnetic or bremsstrahlung)? - Or is it just to keep the dust away?
I allready realized that my gammasout shows strange values when HV and higher frequencies (harmonics) are involved ...
