Voltage Gradient on grid

We have mentioned the grid's Voltage gradient before, and I suggested using a fine wire to boost the gradient.
Such wire is available from Ludlum Measurements and is 0.001" platinum-tungsten alloy.

Since I don't have a fusor I can't test this myself. Wish I could.
