I see you also have a Veeco leak detector diff pump. What type of flange did you use to connect the Veeco diff pump to the chamber?

What type of flange?

I need a half nipple flange that will fit on my 2.5" veeco diffusion pump (see pictures below). I will weld the half nipple directly to my SS hemisphere chamber. Does anyone know what sort of flange this is?

Aluminium flange to steel sphere

Is it possible to weld an aluminium flange to a stainless steel hemisphere?

If so it will save me about 100 dollar for a new steel flange..
