Re: Completion of Demo Fusor

Thank you for informing me about these modifications. I changed my fusor to be this way, and there is no glow in the tube. Thank you, again.

Re: Completion of Demo Fusor

Would the ground the vacuum pump already has be sufficient or do you recommend running a separate cable to the ground screw.

Re: Completion of Demo Fusor

So would I connect the ground screw to the fusor chamber to do this? Thanks for your help.

Completion of Demo Fusor

I have finally completed my demo fusor. Here is a video of it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HBM2nXsdxbA Something interesting I noticed, and don't know what caused it the tube. My assumption is that the plasma in the tube is caused by the wire reinforced tubing being electrified some way. Anyways...

Re: Need help identifying flange on vacuum pump

Okay, I'll try and sand it down. Are you sure this won't negatively effect the seal?

Need help identifying flange on vacuum pump

At first glance it appeared to be a KF flange due to the appearance. I measured it with a caliber to be about 25 millimeters so I went with a kf-25. The centering ring is just a tiny bit to big. I attempted to force it in but only got it half way. I stopped trying to force it as I thought any more c...

Re: High voltage measurement question.

Thanks for this reply, it really helped me figure out how to make it more accurate and precise WITHOUT a costly supply. What I meant when I that it would more accurate to use a smaller resistor was different, I was thinking about the placement of the decimal place. If a 1K resistor was used instead ...

Re: High voltage measurement question.

Since I am only creating a demo fusor would you recommend that I use a 1Kohm resistor in stead so I can get more accurate voltage readings? It
