Re: Is a PMT a PMT ?

I'm not familiar with that PMT but it would probably be fine as long as it hasn't been abused. Here's a link to a Hamamatsu PMT guide that is filled with all kinds of great info. https://psec.uchicago.edu/links/pmt_handbook_complete.pdf Chapter 5 will probably give you lots of info on circuit option...

Thanks for the intro post.

As Richard is fond of advising...

Please don't use that quote of whole messages when replying here.

Maybe a few words for context, but we are capable of following a thread without block quotes of the message being replied to.

Just a suggestion of posting norms here.

Re: Newly published fusor paper

Technoid Doh. Wow, Dysprosium is an element that had completely evaded my elemental awareness. Interesting name. If I hadn't been awakened to its actual presence in the periodic table here, and heard it, I would have thought it was a SciFi metal. Seems to me like maybe its ore should be mined near t...

Re: Base level source: Aluminum tubing and forms.

I never bought anything but metal from Speedy. Yes that nylon seems very expensive. I thought their metal prices were ok and liked their wide stock and descriptions. I probably haven't ordered in last couple years, though. Maybe there are cheaper options elsewhere these days. Ebay has been a good so...

Re: Base level source: Aluminum tubing and forms.

I've been pretty happy with Speedy Metals too. http://www.speedymetals.com/ They have all manner of metal for fabrication and I find their web site pretty easy to use. Mostly I've bought aluminum -- rod, tube, angle, square, etc. I've also used them for tool steel drill rod, and round brass for turn...

Silver for activation

Since there have been a few posts recently about silver activation, I thought I'd share a vendor for silver. I think I shared this before, but anyway... Rio Grande is a vendor mainly selling stuff to the jewellery/art creator market. A few years back I got some silver from them. I am a satisfied cus...

Re: MKS 901p python controller

... what controller it was written for?? Huh? The MKS 901p is a nice small vacuum sensor that works well in the typical fusor ranges of operational vacuum. MKS-901p.jpg There have been many posts about it on the forum. Search '901p'. It takes DC power of 9-30V -- I usually have used a 12V battery to...

Re: DIY Turbopump Controller

Jerry, I guess you posted the scans of the NT50 controller a few years back as I have a saved copy. (Not sure if the post was here or Coulter.) Anyway, I took your separate page scans and merged the ones that make up just the schematic in to one single big PNG file. There are other pages in your sca...
