Re: Digital X-ray dosimeters on ebay 15keV+ sensitivity

Andrew, thanks for the docs and info on getting them reset. I've got one of these from ebay too. I guess my unit's symptoms are the same as discussed here. Let me describe and hopefully someone will confirm we're all seeing the same things. Put a battery in and it goes through some short tests then ...

Re: Precipitator HV Supply Hacking

Oops, I see you used IRS... vs original IR... Good to know that worked. As I said, I found a few chips that seemed they might work. I'd have to go look at the datasheets again to remember what the differences were. I'm no power supply design engineer but the function of these supplies seems unusual ...

Re: Precipitator HV Supply Hacking

Alan, Thanks for the good words on my shared results from hacking these supplies. The two mystery chips (markings sanded off) were only mysteries for a while after the hacking began. In one of my zips for the 60 KV unit there is a file with this: ------ Two chips used on the 60 kV supply 1) 8-pin dr...

Re: No Intranets and no songs??

Sigh. Not sure how you arrived at those working links, Frank. The top-level pages of fusor.net have different links in the only way I found (as described earlier). Frank's working links: https://www.fusor.net/old-boards/intranets.com/index.html https://www.fusor.net/old-boards/songs.com/index.html -...

Re: No Intranets and no songs??

Be specific, Frank. Tell us exactly how. Go follow those links that you mention. I tried and what I found got the site's version of a 404 error. Here's what I did. Top -- fusor.net page. Umm. no such links near the bottom. Where would they be? Try 'Best of Fusor.net' Strange page but scrolling down,...

Unfortunately Silviu seems to be one of the members who lost all of their attachments. So the post about a power supply design project, that Cai provided a link to, is missing all of the pictures of the work that Silviu posted.

Re: Magnetically assisted ionization

Joe joined the forum about a year ago and dived right in with his plans for a well thought out small fusor design. He very quickly built it and had success. Jon has followed up using a very similar design, starting about mid last year. After Joe began to do fusion and shared his results over a few m...
