Re: 13 years old building a fusor-Looking for help

That's awesome! I am 14 now, started my project about a year ago. I have everything except a high voltage supply. Ran out of budget money halfway through and haven't gotten back to the project.

Re: Heavy water electrolysis with HHO generator

I know, but the device is commonly referred to as an HHO generator or a Brown's Gas generator.

Heavy water electrolysis with HHO generator

<t>Was just thinking about a cheaper way to get deuterium and I thought that an HHO generator might help. I am not familiar with this device, all I know is that it separates water into hydrogen and oxygen and sends the hydrogen down a tube to be used for a gas source in a car. The output could then ...

Variacs

<r>I have been searching on ebay for variacs with the right specs with no success. I have not been able to find a variac with high enough specs. Won't I be looking for a variac that can take 12kv or whatever down to 0v if I am going from NST to variac to diode assembly? What specs should I be lookin...

Grid Design

<t>I put together a grid and I am going to get a blank to swagelok fitting like the mark 1 fusion reactor built by Andrew Seltman with a sparkplug. Is there a preferred metal for the grid. I am using copper right now. <br/> <br/> The last pic is a custom vacuum chamber I designed, just thought I'd s...

Re: NEON21 Power

I was reading an ebay description about a NST and they said that no parts that would make the supply variable should be added. Does this include a variac. Has anybody had some experience with this.

Re: NEON21 Power

<t>Would you take a look at this one. This is also a neon sign transformer (they claim). It is bigger and is rated at 1-20kv at 20ma. I would add the rectifier and circuit that Richard Hull mentioned in his NST in his FAQ post.<br/> Although, as you say, it would probably be better to get one of the...
