Re: Just last week...link here

<t>As ususal Richard you have a wonderful attitude towards science! I too hope to live long enough to see some big fundemental shifts. Last week they announced some changes in Genetics (turns out that DNAs have many replicated genes, which means our DNAs are much more different from each other's tha...

Bubble fusion confirmed

Not sure if you folks already know, but Taleyarkhan's ultrasonic-bubble-based hot fusion experiments were confirmed by some perfesser at a Texas university. Just announced.

Re: I don't buy it

<t>I agree completely. I am very cautioius and skeptical and very aware of the very real risk of charlatans.<br/> <br/> However...I do not consider the actions by the detractors, in this case, to be skepticism. They look like highly publicized character assassination. It's another version of "scienc...

I don't buy it

<t>Having been involved in a similar case, my first reaction is that these accusations of fraud are politically motivated. The fusion science world is corrupt beyond belief.<br/> <br/> Note that Putterman, who has been accusing Talearken from the beginning, has is OWN fusion gadget which he has been...

Re: Sonofusion at home....

<t>As Marvin said, doing sonofusion with the fusor as neutron input source is impractical. The neutrons must be timed to coincide with the high-pressure pulse of the sonic wave, so we're talking micro or millisecond precision. I'm not sure how a fusor would do that.<br/> <br/> On the other hand, don...

Re: A interestingly flawed paper.

<t>Hi,<br/> <br/> Yes this is a good example. Over the past 10 years or so I've had the opportunity to "attempt" reproduction of 5 cold fusion experiments of similar stripe, all of which were claiming significant (50-300%) excess heat over input. In all cases I found systematic errors in either:<br/...

Re: 12th Annual Cold Fuson Conference underway

<t>Actually Todd the lack of neutrons is a defining feature of cold fusion. Yes that is why the traditional physicists don't believe it's possible. But neutrons aren't a required feature of fusion, any more than flapping is a required feature of flying. Neutrons happen to be what we KNOW is required...

Re: 12th Annual Cold Fuson Conference underway

That's much better than "mold fusion"

Yuck.
