Annealed copper gasket for hv feedthrough?

Post by Samuel Berman » Wed Jun 06, 2018 1:13 am

I know annealed copper cf gaskets are recommended for viewports, but should I use one for my feedthrough as well since it's made of ceramic?

I never bothered to anneal copper gaskets for installing feedthroughs, just viewports and never had problems.
The more reactive the materials, the more spectacular the failures.
The testing isn't over until the prototype is destroyed.
