CANBERRA SERIES 10 - HV PROVBLEM - SCHEMATICS WANTED

This area is for discussions involving any fusion related radiation metrology issues. Neutrons are the key signature of fusion, but other radiations are of interest to the amateur fusioneer as well.

CANBERRA SERIES 10 - HV PROVBLEM - SCHEMATICS WANTED

Post by Marco Tosini »

Good Morning All !

i am newbie of the forum so.. i hope this will be the right section for this topic. I recently bought a Canberra Series 10 MCA from Ebay (model 1003) which i have been testing in this hours... While the ADC part seems to work right.. i cannot say the same for the HV power supply which do not start !

I read the user manual and followed instruction so:

1) turn on "HV switch" on the back
2) set in the menu the HV voltage and enable it.

Unfortunately the HV status do not change and i always read on the display "HV OFF" .. no voltage appears on the HV connector.

Did i do something wrong? Dis somebody have the same problem ?

Does anybody have tecnical manual // Schematics (in particular the HV power supply) of this MCA?

Thanks in advance for collaborating,

Marco

Send me a private message with an appropriate email that accepts attachments . I have a scan of the user and service manual (about 5 to 6 meg).
Also, if I remember correctly the bottom card has to be in the proper position for the software selected range if you have the dual polarity and selectable voltage option.
